What is Mill No. 5?
Mill No. 5 is a converted textile mill in downtown historic Lowell, MA. The building contains condos and apartments as well as an indoor streetscape of salvaged storefronts with great coffee, a movie theater, farmer’s market and independent shopping on the 4th floor. “A Crime in a Madhouse” is the inaugural event in one of two new event spaces on the 5th floor.

Do you have any tips about seeing the show?
Give yourself plenty of time to park and get into the building. There is a parking garage conveniently located next door to mill No. 5, but it can take a few minutes to get into the building and up to the 5th floor. The show is performed without an intermission, so NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED ONCE THE SHOW BEGINS. If you’re in the building Thursday through Saturday before 8 pm and Sunday before 5 pm, you can visit the shops on the 4th floor. Coffee and Cotton serves light fare, beverages and wine and beer.

Where is the parking garage?
135 Middlesex St., right next door. Street parking in Lowell is free after 6 pm and Sundays.

What are the Covid policies?
All ticket holders must provide proof of vaccination at the event or you will not be admitted and you will not get a refund. If you forget your vaccination card, you may be able to make arrangements to return on another night, depending on availability. Masks must be worn to enter the building, and the mask policy during the show will depend on the city policy at the time of the performance

Are there student seats available?
There are! Student tickets are available for $10 on Thursday and Sunday and $15 on Friday and Saturday. Audience members holding a student ticket MUST HAVE THEIR VALID SCHOOL ID WITH THEM AT THE PERFORMANCE OR THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE IN TICKET PRICE AT THE DOOR, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you forget your student ID, you may be able to make arrangements to return on another night, depending on availability.

What are VIP seats?
VIP seats are available for $30 on Thursday and Sunday and $45 on Friday and Saturday. A VIP tickets gets you preferred seating up front where you can really see the gore and violence.

What happens if the show upsets me?
We’re hoping it will. However, be warned. If the show is too much for you and you have to leave, if you faint or if you vomit, you WILL NOT GET A REFUND! In fact, we may ask to take your picture and provide a testimonial.

How long is the show?
The show runs about 40 minutes with no intermission. There are two shows on Thursdays and Sundays, three on Fridays and four on Saturdays.
